A Holiday wish for you
Each year for the past 4 years, I've successfully avoided mailing holiday cards by creating a collection of the past year's blogging highlights, and using them as a way to share some wishes for the upcoming year. I hope you enjoy them, and have a wonderful 2009! :-)

- Never give up.
- Look for meaning in the simple things.
- Find the real voice.
- Express who you really are.
- Look for... never... umm... I got nothin'.
- Consider less caffeine?
- Keep your eye on the big picture.
- Be careful. :-)
- Transcend your limitations.
- Be gentle with children.
- Look where you're going.
- Appreciate the beautiful things.

- Remember those who've made a difference in your life.
- Cry a little every now and then. It feels good.
- Be grateful.
- Enjoy the peaceful moments.

- Pay attention when on conference calls. (not really)
- Keep facing your fears.
- Treat yourself every now and then.
- Notice the beautiful flowers.
- Especially those that remind you of your mom.
- Embrace diversity.
- Never lose this.
- Start a dream journal.
- Don't take yourself to seriously.
- Don't forget to wear a helmet.
- And in 2009, remember that you are!

A box of cookies will never measure up to what you have given to me, I am so grateful for your insight and support over the past year, even just through email or a phone call. You are truly an amazing person, your love for your mom, your friends and your life, are such an inspiration. You'll never know how much your words or photos or drawings (even the sassy ones!) have been a guide for me through 2008 and to a better beginning for 2009. I'm so much better for knowing you, and to be able to call you my friend! Have a wonderful new year, love and best wishes! *hugs*

ReplyDeleteYou've gotten me to ponder "Am I enough?" Usually I am, but I always enjoy getting help. Will this be my "best year ever?" Maybe, but I bet I could be happy with just a "good" year. Isn't that "enough?" For that matter, what's wrong with a "bad" year? We learn from the bad stuff.
Geez, Willie, now you've got my head hurting...
